Let’s Celebrate GIS Day (Nov 15th) Together
There is a lot going on in the world of geospatial, and each year November 15th is celebrated as GIS Day by industry-leading company Esri. This year I am hosting an official Esri celebration on YouTube. It’s the launch of the channel Maps Data Design. There are even giveaways!

GIS Day Celebration
Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) is an intersectional area of work and research that can also be known as Geographic Information Systems. After my first year at USC Spatial Sciences Institute, and the completion of GIST (GIS + Technology) Certificate, I feel like I am at a starting point. At the very least, I feel qualified to host interviews with fellow GIS practitioners.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating the GIS Professional” — and I will extend this to students, researchers, and academics who share a commitment to advancing the field of spatial data science alongside those who are in the field as working professionals.
It is my great pleasure to bring you a series of videos — featuring people who all share a passion for GIS. Whether you are part of the GIS community or are just hearing about GIS for the first time, I invite you to come explore these videos.
